S&C COACH REQUIRED

  1. JOB TITLE: First Team Strength & Conditioning Coach

  2. Responsible to: First Team Manager

To work as an integral member of the Management Team on a part time basis to support the development and implementation of the Performance Plan in conjunction with the First Team Manager Manager.

• To implement individualised Athletic Development programming during both the off and in-season periods including both gym and pitch based training. Programmes should reflect the specific needs of the individual player and their role within the team, including a major component of prehabilitation, injury prevention and recovery processes.

• To provide injury rehabilitation training of players in conjunction with specific guidelines laid down by the physiotherapist/sports therapist, in preparation for return to play.

• To monitor gym based workload through recording RPE’s or volume loads within the gym. To co-ordinate, manage and optimise each individual player’s workload.

• To undertake a comprehensive battery of fitness testing designed to cover all aspects of player performance and use the results to drive training programmes and individual fitness reporting. To undertake individual fitness testing at least three times per year.

• To conduct physical movement screening and anthropometric tests as required

• Alongside the Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist develop and support an activation/pre-hab program

• To implement ‘Readiness to Train’ and ‘Wellbeing’ monitoring and to liaise with the first team manager regarding collated data

• To support the first team manager in any in-house training/mentoring to support the development of coaching staff in any athletic development specific aspects.

• Support the education of all schoolboy players and parents in terms of injury prevention, injury care, post-match recovery, diet and drug awareness.

 • To undertake appropriate professional development to keep abreast of industry best practice. 

• To report regularly to the First Team Manager on overall progress and development within the club and to represent collective views in respect of future developments and directions.

• Ad hoc duties as required by management.

• To abide by all club policies including (but not exclusive to) Safeguarding, Equality and Health & Safety

Undergraduate degree in Sport & Exercise/Sport Science (or similar) - Can be working towards this

• Previous experience of working with young athletes / children in a similar role

• Experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of strength and conditioning programmes for elite football players;

• FA Safeguarding Children Certificate

• FA First Aid (BFAS) Certificate

• CRB check undertaken

• Computer skills (in particular Word/ Excel/ Access).

• High levels of communication skills, both orally and written.

• Personable and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.

SPORTS THERAPY ROLES

  1. JOB TITLE: First Team Sports Therapist

  2. Responsible to: First Team Manager

To provide medical support to all players. This is primarily for players aged 16-19. Initially this will be on a daily basis primarily for pitch side management with some after care but has the potential to turn into a more involved role as detailed below.

Focus will be on the development of the following areas of support;

  • Strength and conditioning

  • Sports therapy, including sports massage

  • Medical services, including the prevention and treatment of injury

  • Diet and nutrition

  • Sports science, including physiology, biomechanics, physical testing and measurement

  • Overall delivery of targets and the running of ProChance Football Club with particular focus on the fitness of playing staff

  • 3.1 RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Ensure that the necessary medical support services are present at first team training sessions and games.

    Ensure that the management of injuries effectively meets the Club’s commitments to players, coaches and senior management through clinical audit and accurate documentation.

    Ensure that appropriate recovery and injury prevention strategies are adopted after games and on recovery days.

    Multi-disciplinary communication between staff, players and parents to ensure optimal well-being and development of all professional development phase players.

    Produce regular reports regarding the progress of each player within the Academy and to ensure that the appropriate sports science and medical information is added to each player’s Performance Clock.

    Undertake personal CPD as appropriate to meet the demands of the role.
    Maintain honesty and integrity at all times when working with players at the Club.

Be presentable, smart and personable at all times when representing the Club. Undertake all reasonable tasks assigned by the first team manager.

4. QUALIFICATIONS

  • a) BSc in Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy

  • a) MSc in Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy 

  • b) Valid Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF)

  • 5. EXPERIENCE

  • 5.1 Essentials

  • a) Working in football.

  • b) Knowledge and experience of assessing and treating a range of paediatric musculoskeletal conditions

  • c) Ability to effectively monitor and modify training and rehabilitation programs according to clinical needs

  • d) Excellent time management skills with experience of managing a varied case load whilst ensuring administration duties kept up to date (e.g. SOAP notes, clinic letters)

5.2 Desirables

  1. a)  Experience of conducting maturation assessments for young athletes

GK COACH

ProChance Football Club are looking for a creative and enthusiastic person to organise and run the clubs goalkeeping department.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the ProChance first team as a Goalkeeping Coach. We are looking for someone who has a passion for the progression and development of a team, who can work closely with our Goalkeepers and form individual development plans for players to achieve their potential. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for coaching and mentoring, with a proven track record of monitoring and enhancing high performance within a team.

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for someone with full flexibility, who is able to attend evening training sessions and match day fixtures.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To coach, monitor and report on the progress of all goalkeepers within ProChance Football Club.

  • Implement and monitor the coaching Syllabus.

  • To play a part in the organisation and delivery of ProChance In/Out-service training events organised throughout the season.

  • To have a clear understanding of the ProChance philosophy, vision, values and culture.

  • To regularly liaise other members of the team.

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT MANAGER

ProChance Football Club are looking for a creative and enthusiastic person to organise and run the clubs social media platforms including the clubs website.

This is an incredible opportunity to create unique and innovative content for one of the most innovative football clubs created to support young, gifted and talented footballers. The club is truly one of kind and is part way through a historic first season which has seen a squad of 16/17 year old footballers embark on a journey of combining playing senior mens football [first time in the history of football] and professional club matches.

What will you be doing?

You will create, publish and plan output across ProChance’s social platforms, with a focus on driving results and increasing numbers. You will produce social content with purpose, in the line with the clubs tone and style.

- Managing real time and planned social media output across all platforms.
- Providing matchday social media coverage at home and on the road at all levels, including games vs professional clubs at SGP or at the pro club’s training ground plus fixtures in the Leicestershire senior league.
- Producing sharable social content of high-quality to increase engagement, grow social audience and drive traffic to owned platforms.
- Production of videos and innovative video content for social media using current images and match footage. This should include match highlights that are made available within four hours of a game taking place. Filming and asking interview questions plus editing ready for social media use.
- Managing and updating the social media content planner
- Supporting the delivery of retail, marketing and partner campaigns
- Monitoring content and platform performance.
- Keeping on top of the latest platform trends and tools, and finding ways to adapt our content accordingly

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with previous experience of working in a digital team who has a passion for social media and the benefits it can bring, delivering social first content to a large audience in a fast-paced environment.

You will need not only a strong knowledge of football and social media but also ProChance, it’s history and values.

Working hours: The successful candidate will need to dedicate around 18 hours , 5 days over 7 to include weekends and bank-holidays.

You will also have some experience of conceiving, producing, and delivering social first content.

The successful candidate needs to be extremely passionate about the social media landscape, emerging trends and new platform opportunities. Creativity and ambition are key in this role to ensure you drive forward engagement across social media. You must pride yourself on your excellent communication skills and have great attention to detail. The ability to react quickly to developing stories and adapt output based on unfolding events is also key.

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for somebody who is flexible and willing to work around the football calendar, including weekends.

SET PIECES COACH

A great opportunity has arisen for a first team coach to work as part of the club’s football department led by the first team manager based in Leicester and at St Georges Park National Football Centre.

This exciting new role will enable a coach with expertise in restarts, set pieces and opposition analysis to work within a dynamic football staff at a progressive club and have a direct impact on first team performance.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a real creativity in restarts and set pieces, with a good understanding of football analytics and set pieces structure, design, and coaching.

Experience of individual and opposition analysis is also necessary as the successful person will have the opportunity to analyse our own squad on a weekly basis.

The role comes with a great deal of responsibility and would only suit individuals who are able to make their own decisions and work independently as well as part of a team.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be responsible for overseeing, planning and delivering coaching of all set pieces and restarts, including

    kick-offs, throw ins, corners, free kicks and goal kicks • Supporting the first team manager in individual

    player development plans and coaching

  • Supporting pre and post-match opposition analysis

  • Provide tactical and technical advice to the Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach on matchdays

• This role is ideal for someone looking to work in an area of the game that is rapidly growing. The ideal

candidate will have more of an understanding of analysis than a playing or coaching background although the successful candidate will require to have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to command an audience and speak on a one to one level confidently and articulate statistics, reasons why we make decisions and what the benefits are. The successful candidate will be able to teach rather than coach and will have a passion for positively impacting on individuals.

CLUB ADMINISTRATOR

ProChance Football Club is looking to recruit a Club Administrator on an initial voluntary basis to deliver a high-quality administrative service to the club through the effective delivery of all club administrative procedures.

To provide administration support to the First Team Manager and Senior Management team at the club.

Although you will work at different locations, your main base will be our training ground/First Team match stadium in Leicester.

The successful candidate will report directly to the First Team Manager and be predominately based at our training ground.

Working hours: Maximum 12 hours , 5 days over 7 [flexible and as the job demands] to include weekends and some bank-holidays.

Contract type: Permanent You will:

Anticipate the supporter and partner needs whenever possible to enhance their journey and experience.

Working in a professional and efficient manner using the correct protocol.

Greeting and directing staff and visitors attending events at the club in a polite, prompt and efficient manner.

Answering communication in an efficient and professional manner.


Liaising with stakeholders, professional clubs, the FA and league representatives.
Assist the First Team Manager in any administrative duties.


Manage all administrative tasks to do with the FA Whole Game System, FA Full time, submit team sheets in a timely manner and register players, apply for any dispensation or clearance so that the first team can function effectively.

Where necessary provide administrative support to club meetings, compiling, and distributing of minutes and reports prior to board meetings.

Update staff files.


Attend all first team fixtures and complete the necessary administrative tasks with officials and the opposition.

Collection and distribution any tickets to players and staff for first team fixtures Collecting match day revenue such as gate receipts or raffles.


Organisation of other match day staff such as social media/website staff, match experience staff, business development staff and match day announcer.


The successful candidate will be well versed in funding provisions available to a club at our level in the pyramid and understand the application process for various funding available to a club.
